Important Details of the Events

Junior Group

1. Scratch Programming (Submission using Google form on 23rd November 2024)

• Students can participate individually or in a team of 2
• Topics will be communicated in advance on khscyber.in
• Students can choose any one topic from the given list and complete the program using Scratch
• Completed program code (.sb3 file type) needs to be submitted at scheduled dates through Google form submission up to 23rd November 2024. Students can even upload the video recording of outputs along with program code
• Based on the outputs and program codes, candidates will be shortlisted for Viva Round using an online platform on 7th Dec 2024 where domain experts can ask questions regarding the completed program

Topics

1. Tales of Panchatantra: Create interactive stories featuring the Panchatantra stories
2. Save the Taj Mahal: Develop a game where players protect the Taj Mahal from various threats
3. Indian Festival Fun: Animate scenes from popular Indian festivals like Diwali or Ganesh Chaturthi
4. Summer Olympics 2024: (Game or Inspirational Story)
5. Space Explorer

2. M.S. Paint (At KHS on 30th November 2024)

1. Students will participate individually
2. Students can choose only one topic from the topics given at the event
3. No prepared images can be used
4. Students need to complete the Paint drawings of chosen topic in the allotted time at KHS

Judging Criteria

• Drawing skills
• Tips and tricks used while creating artwork
• Use of brush techniques/variation
• Color combinations/schemes
• Graphic art creation
• Picture editing skills
• Relevance to the context
• Number of objects covered in the picture

3. Design a Poster using MS PowerPoint / Google Slides (At KHS on 30th November 2024)

1. Students will participate individually
2. No already prepared images can be used
3. Students can choose only one topic from the pool of chits available at the competition desk
4. Students can use any application such as MS PowerPoint or Google Slides
5. If you don’t plan to BYOD, offline version of M.S. PowerPoint 2021 is available at KHS
6. If you are planning to use platforms like Google Slides, students can bring their own charged devices (Laptops) and internet for the competition (Optional)
7. Laptops carried by students should have the respective software/applications installed for making the presentations
8. Students need to complete the presentation in the allotted time at KHS

4. RoboMission (At KHS on 7th December 2024)

Team Composition:

• Teams must consist of a maximum of 2 members.
• A team may have a faculty advisor, but their involvement should be limited to guidance and supervision.

Robot Design

• The robot will be provided on the day of competition.
• The robot should be handled as per instructions.
• All components of the robot must be handled with proper technique without any interference with the robot of the opponent team.

Competition Arena

• The competition arena will simulate a city environment with various cleaning challenges.
• Teams should familiarize themselves with the arena layout and specific task areas.
• The arena will include obstacles and cleaning zones that the robots must navigate through to complete the task.

Task Challenges

• Robots must be operated to complete a series of cleaning tasks within a specified time limit.
• Tasks may include waste collection, debris removal, and other activities promoting cleanliness.
• Points will be awarded based on the successful completion of tasks and the overall efficiency of the robot.

Scoring System

• A point system will be in place to evaluate the performance of each team.
• Points will be awarded for completing tasks accurately and within the designated time frame.
• Judges will also consider the fastest time for task completion for bonus points.

Robot Control

• Teams must use the robot provided controlled manually by a remote controller.
• The remote control device should be operated by one team member only.
• Change in control is allowed only during task change.

Safety Regulations

• Teams must ensure that their robots do not pose any safety risks to participants, spectators, or other robots.
• Safety inspections will be conducted before the competition to check for compliance with safety standards.

Code of Conduct

• Teams are expected to exhibit sportsmanship and professionalism throughout the competition.
• Any form of cheating, unethical behaviour, or violation of rules will result in penalties or disqualification.

Judging Panel

• A panel of experienced judges will evaluate the performance of each team based on the established criteria.
• Judges' decisions will be final, and there will be no scope for disputes during or after the competition.

Senior Group

1. Python Programming (At KHS on 23rd November 2024)

1. Students can participate individually.
2. Students can choose only one topic from the pool of chits available at the competition desk.
3. Students can use any of the Python programming platforms, e.g., IDLE / PyCharm / Spyder, etc.
4. Students can bring their own fully charged devices (Laptops) and internet for the competition.
5. Laptops carried by students should have the respective software/applications installed for Python programming.
6. If you don’t plan to BYOD, then IDLE 3.6.2 / Visual Studio is available at KHS.
7. Students need to complete the program in the allotted time at KHS.
8. It is recommended to bring your own internet if you are planning to use any online coding platform.

2. Creating Comic Strip using Generative AI (At KHS on 23rd November 2024)

1. Students need to participate individually.
2. Students can choose only one topic from the topics given at the event.
3. Students can bring their own fully charged devices (Laptops) and internet for the competition.
4. Laptops carried by students should have the respective software/applications/tools installed for AI image generation with an already logged-in account.
5. Students need to complete the comic strip in the allotted time at KHS, which is 1 hour.
6. Students can compose the final output for comic strips in PPT, Photoshop, Paint, Canva, or any other software they want to choose.

Guidelines for Final Output:

1. Output should be in the form of a comic strip with dialogues.
   (Please find the attached references.)


• Comic strip must consist of minimum 5 AI images, you can generate as much as you want for better clarity of the story
• You can use any Ai image generation tool either free or paid. Such as Midjourney, Leonardo.ai, ideogram, adobe firefly etc. There’s no tool compulsion.
• While submitting the final output the participant must copy paste the final prompts used for image generations in below format

3. Data analysis using MS Excel dashboards (At KHS on 23rd November 2024)

• Students need to participate individually
• Actual assignment statement and data required for analysis will be provided at the competition desk
• Students can use Pie charts / Bar Graphs / any other supported reporting format available in excel for data analysis
• Students can bring their own devices (Laptops)
• Laptops carried by students should have the respective version of MS Office installed which s/he wants to use for Data analysis using MS Excel dashboards
• If you don’t plan to BYOD then M.S. Excel 2021 is available at KHS
• Students need to complete the task in the allotted time at KHS

4.Create your own ICT based Innovations & Start-up (At KHS on 7th December 2024)

1. Students can participate in a team of min 2 students / team of max 4 students
2. Students can choose any one topic from the given list and need to prepare a Descriptive Presentation (PPT) explaining the complete concept.
3. Candidates are requested to carry PPT for Viva Round at KHS on 7th Dec 2024 where IT Professionals and IT industry Experts can ask Questions regarding the selected Start-ups
4. It is recommended to bring your own laptops/ products /models (if designed and created) and internet for actual demonstrations to experts

Topics:

1. Waste Management (Innovative solutions that help communities segregate waste at the source)
2. Educational Support for Underprivileged Children (Develop an e-learning platform specifically aimed at providing affordable educational resources)
3. Crowdsourcing Platform for Local Issues (Create a platform where citizens can report local problems like potholes, broken streetlights, or water leakage, and notify local authorities for quick resolution)
4. Energy Conservation Awareness Platform (Build a platform that educates people about energy conservation techniques and monitors household energy consumption with tips on reducing it)
5. Eco-Friendly Product Promotion App (Create a platform that promotes eco-friendly and sustainable products from local businesses, encouraging people to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle)
6. Disaster Relief Coordination (Develop a solution to coordinate relief efforts during natural disasters like floods or earthquakes. It can provide real-time updates, donation channels, and volunteer coordination)

Note

1. Students need to prepare a presentation (Detailed PPT) explaining the complete concept.
2. It can be both a web app and mobile app or any other tools and technology-based offering.
3. It can be a service or information portal which can show and connect with stakeholders.
4. The presentation can have screenshots of Point no. 2 and 3.
5. Students may showcase their products/models (if designed and created) for actual demonstrations to experts in the final round.
